MTP's Mission

It is Medical Technology Partners' mission to accelerate the rate of trial and acceptance of important new medical technologies, thereby enabling them to reach patients more quickly. MTP helps companies understand and work with new reimbursement realities within the health care marketplace by way of reasonable and functional strategies and plans. MTP is committed to excellent customer service, advancing patient care, making timely and accurate recommendations, and reasonable and flexible pricing arrangements. MTP enhances the development of important new medical technologies by providing high quality and fully integrated reimbursement support services to the medical industry, with an emphasis on medical device and diagnostic technologies.

MTP has developed a national reputation for innovative reimbursement strategy development, tactical planning, and implementation.  We have worked with more than 200 different medical device manufacturers as they have introduced their emerging technologies into the marketplace to become an integral part of the provider armamentarium in all relevant care settings.  Our successes include:

• Moving innovative technologies out of R&D and into the commercialized market
• Petitioning for and obtaining new codes
• Changing existing code descriptions and the organizational structure within the nomenclature
• Expanding payment into additional settings of care
• Increasing payment to appropriate levels
• Obtaining favorable coverage decisions (including reversals)
• Providing reimbursement resource services to clients and their customers
• Conducting studies, including a longitudinal study on BPH treatments and a published study of the MS-DRG payment system
